最初の例文は直訳するとちょっと変な感じになっちゃいましたけど、つまりは他の人に優しくされたいなら、自分も人に優しくしなさい。のようなニュアンスです。
この表現は Golden Rule と言って、子供達が一番最初に親や学校の先生に教えられるものです。

こちらの例文は日本語文をそのまま訳しました。こちらも自然な言い方ですが、どちらかというとゴールデンルールの方の表現をよく聞きます。

"Treat others as you want to be treated."

お子さんがまだ小さいのであれば、もっと簡単に
"No hitting. It hurts."
「たたいちゃダメ。痛いよ。」
ときっぱり言うのもいいですね。
英語ネイティブのお母さん達は
"No hitting. Do you like it when people hit you? No. It hurts. Mommy doesn't hit you, and you shouldn't hit people because it hurts."
「叩いちゃダメよ。あなたは人に叩かれるの好き？嫌だよね。痛いよね。ママはあなたを叩かないよ。だからあなたも人を叩いちゃダメだよね。痛いもんね」
というように、お話をしながら諭している方が多い印象です。

I used to teach kindergarten, so it's hard for children to understand this idea.
You can start by saying "is (the person) happy?" so they can recognize that what they did made them unhappy.
After pointing this out you can say any of the above three phrases.
Also saying "being kind to others will teach them to be kind to you" could work as a more positive message.
私は以前幼稚園で教えていました。
子どもたちに、このことを理解させるのはとても難しいですよね。
"is (the person) happy?"
→その人は、それをされて嬉しい？
と聞くことから初めて見るのはどうでしょうか？
そのことで子どもたちも、なにをすると人は嫌な思いをするか、学ぶことが出来ます。
それを言ったあとに、上記の3つのいずれの表現を使ってもかまわないでしょう。
また、
"being kind to others will teach them to be kind to you"
→人に親切にすることによって、その人はあなたに親切にしなければならないことを学ぶ。
と言ってみるのも良いでしょう。これはより前向きなメッセージです。

I think this rule or life lesson is difficult to explain to a small child.
I would simply ask if they like it when someone does the things to them and when they answer "no", remind them that they shouldn't do it to others then!
