日本では子供に話している時に、他の子供は「お友達」と言われますが、アメリカでは、「other children」「other kids」「other people」と言います。本当に友達じゃなければ、「friends」というとちょっと変だと考えています。
Make sure you're careful of the other kids when you're playing.
Make sure you don't knock over any of the other children near you.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーMake sure you're careful of the other kids when you're playing.
「遊ぶ時は他の子に気をつけてね」
ーMake sure you don't knock over any of the other children near you.
「周りの子を倒しちゃわないように気をつけてね」
