We'd say "2 days ago," since we don't really have a word for the day before yesterday. If you want to be wordy, you can say, "the day before yesterday."
The eve of something is the day before something, so "yestereve" also means the day before yesterday. However, this is sort of archaic language.
この言葉を言い表す表現がないので "2 days ago"と言います。
もう少し言葉ぽっく言いたい場合は"the day before yesterday"と言う事も出来ます。
"The eve of something" （～前夜）と言います。
ですので"yestereve"もまた一昨夜という意味になります。
ですが、これは少し古くさい言い方になります。

There is no modern English word for "2 days ago". A word that is no longer used by native speakers would be "ereyesterday" but as I said no one uses that word, or would probably even know what you mean by it. So saying "2 days ago" or "the day before yesterday" is perfectly acceptable.

ですが、説明した通り、意味を知っていたとしてももう使われていません。

It depends how accurate you want to be. The most accurate way is to specify the name of the day, such as, "Tuesday." Or, either of the first two examples may fit your scenario.

There is no exact word to describe the day before yesterday you would simply say 'the day before yesterday' or you could also say 'two days ago'
'two days ago I had a day off from work' , 'the day before yesterday I had the day off work' these both have the same meaning
