日本に生まれてよかったって英語でなんて言うの？

The accident of birth moulds who we are and what we will become. By one stroke of luck over which we have no control whatsoever, we may fall into the lap of luxury for the rest of our lives - or be damned forever to an endless road of torment, hard labour and fear! "Thank god I'm Japanese!"

"I am glad I was born in Japan." this explains that you are happy that you were born in that country. "I am very happy that I was born in Japan." This is another way of saying you are happy to be Japanese and that you were born in that country.

To state that you are happy to be born in Japan you could say... "I am lucky to be born in Japan."

Grateful is another word for thankful. To say "I come from ..." it can imply that was where you were born.

Boy, am I glad I was born here! - When English speakers exclaim "Boy!" this means that they are very ecstatic about something. e.g. "Boy, am I glad you came!" means "I'm so very glad you came!"

"I do not regret being born in Japan" "I am happy being Japanese" "I am grateful being Japanese" When you live in a good country with a good economy and a low crime rate, it is easy to love your country and to be proud of your heritage. These expressions are ways to explain that you are happy being Japanese and happy that you are born in Japan. You have "no regrets" about your origin or country.

National pride is still very strong in Japan... One need only look at the fervour and joy displayed over Japan winning the Olympic bid for 2020;-) The nation was ecstatic...and people were literally weeping for joy! You could plainly see how proud they are to be Japanese!.

Heritage is the word used to describe the country and culture which you are from. To be proud of your heritage is to be happy and pleased with where you were born and raised.
