We would normally say 'small' for something like a bird or jewellery. "I bought a small chain" but we would also describe a piece of jewellery as delicate. "That bracelet is so pretty and delicate".
When talking about something really small, we would likely say tiny. A tiny bird, a tiny puppy.

１番普通なのかSmall.これはスモールという発音で、どんな状況でもSmallを支えることができます。That is a small dog! あれは小さい犬だね！
Littleも同じように小さいという意味で、同じくどんな状況でも使えます。That is a little dog!
最後がPetiteで、これはそのままフランス語から来ていますが、今では英語でも使われることも多く、普通に通じるようになります。
