There are many ways to call a woman that is the parent of a child. She can be called "Mother", "Mom", "Mommy", "Mama" and even "Mammy". The age of the child will let you know how they address their parent. The most common American word for a child's parent that bore them is mom. Children and adults will call their female parent mom.
