テストあんまりできなかったよって英語でなんて言うの?

DMMの先生と話していて、「今日はどうだった?」と聞かれた時に使いたいです。

  • It was not so good.

お疲れ様です。 テスト[どうだった?](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/6410/) How did you do on the test? あんまりできなかったよ。 It was not so good. (あまりよくなかった) I couldn't do well. [(あまりできなかった)](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/91847/) ご参考になれば幸いです。

  • Not so well

  • Not very well

Explanation: The two above responses are quite typical ones if you did not do as well as you wanted. A more positive reply if you did well might be: "Better than expected." Example sentence: A. "How did the interview go?" B. "Not so well, I'm afraid."
うまくいかなかったと答えるには、この二つの表現がぴったりです。自分が思っていたよりよくできていたときは、"Better than expected."と言うことができます。 例文: A. "How did the interview go?" 面接は[どうだった?](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/6410/) B. "Not so well, I'm afraid." うまくいかなかったと思う。

  • I did not do very well

  • I did not do so well

  • I did not do very good

All these mean the same thing meaning you do not think you did so well you could also just say not very well or not so well...
これら全てが同じ意味で、あまりできなかったと思うという意味です。また、単に、「not very well」または「not so well」ということもできます。

  • It didn't go very well.

  • I don't think I did very well.

To show that you didn't do very well on a test, you could say 'I didn't do very well', which means 'I didn't do the test very well'. Alternatively, you could use the words, 'I don't think I did very well' which suggests that you don't know the result yet, but you are pretty sure it went badly. You could also say 'it didn't go very well', which describes the same thing, but uses 'it' instead of 'the test'.
テストでよくできなかったと言いたいなら、'I didn't do very well'と言えるでしょう。これは、'I didn't do the test very well'(テストがよくできなかった)という意味です。 或いは、'I don't think I did very well'も使えます。これは、まだ結果は分からないけど悪いに違いない、というニュアンスです。 'it didn't go very well'とも言えます。これも、同じことを言っていますが'the test'の代わりに'it'を使用してます。

  • Not very good

  • I don't think it went well

  • It didn't go very well

"Not very good" "I don't think it went well" "It didn't go very well" Each of these mean the same and explain that you know you did not score a very high mark on the test.
【例】 "Not very good" (あまりよくありません) "I don't think it went well" (上手くできなかったと思います) "It didn't go very well" (上手く出来ませんでした) これらは同じ意味になり、テストであまりいい点が取れなかったことを説明しています。

  • It didn't go as well as I wanted it to.

  • I didn't pass with flying colors.

  • I wish I did better.

When asked how we did on a test the three sentences you see above would be great responses. In the second sentence you will see the phrase pass with flying colors. This phrase means we accomplished something very successfully. This phrase would be appropriate for an informal setting, like talking with friends or family.
テストのできはどうだったか聞かれた時に、上記3つの例文は素晴らしい返答になります。 2つ目の例文には、pass with flying colorsというフレーズがあります。これは、うまく何かを成し遂げたという意味です。このフレーズは、友達や家族と話すときなど、くだけた場面に適しています。
