I'm from Japan.：私は日本[出身](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/55835/)です。
どちらもよく聞かれます。
レッスンの中で時々"I'm Japanese."と ”I'm a Japanese."の違いについて聞かれることがあるのですが、後者は基本的にI'm a Japanese student/ man.など名詞が入っていてそれが省略されているニュアンスです。
I'm Japaneseは、「私は日本人です。」となります。
他には、
I came from Japan.
または
I'm from Japan.
という表現もあります。
どちらも「私は日本から[来ました](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/82084/)。」
となります。
A) I was born and raised in Japan
*born-existing as a result of birth.
Example-"she was born in South Africa"
*Raised-bring up (a child).
Example-"he was born and raised in San Francisco"
B) I'm Japanese

You travel to London by overnight plane and arrive early in the morning at Heathrow airport on the outskirts of the London metrolpolis. Your are travelling with two friends. Your work colleague will meet you at the airport, but he has never been introduced to your friends. You see your colleague waiting for you:

I am from Japan.
- This means that you live in Japan but you may not have been born there.
I'm Japanese.
- This means that you were born in Japan but you may not be living there anymore.
I'm from Japan.
これは、日本から来ましたという意味で、かならずしも日本で生まれたという意味ではありません。
I'm Japanese.
こちらは、日本生まれですという意味で、もしかしたら違う所に住んでいるかもしれません。
When you say you are Japanese it usually refers to the fact that you were born in Japan. Even if you were born in another country but have lived in Japan for a long time you may consider yourself to be Japanese.
'Hiro was born in the USA but has lived in Japan for over 40 years, he considers himself Japanese.'
"I am Japanese"（私は日本人です。）と言った時、通常は"I was born in Japan."（私は日本で生まれました。）という事実を指し示します。
もし別の国で生まれたけども、日本で長い期間住んでいる場合、自分が日本人であると考えても良いかもしれません。

When asked where you are from, you can reply in a few different ways but each way can mean the same thing.
"I am Japanese" or "I'm from Japan".

In English we use similar Word breakdown for other countries.

何処の出身か聞かれた時、いくつか違った表現で答えることが出来ますが、それぞれは同じ意味になります。

If someone asks you where you are from they are asking about your country and nationality. To speak about the country you are from you simply state that, "I am from Japan." or you can say that "I was born and raised in Japan." which means that you were both born and have lived in Japan since you were a child. If you are asked about your nationality, you can say that "I am Japanese."
These phrases are used (If you are a native of Japan) if asked what nationality you are and / or where do you live.
"I am from Japan" states that you live / grew up in Japan.
"I am Japanese" Implies you are a native of Japan and of Japanese descent.
If someone asks where you're from, you say, "I'm from..."
So, someone from Japan would say "I'm Japanese" or "I come from Japan".
With some nationalities you can also use a noun: for example, a person from Germany could say "I'm a German"; however, there is no Japanese equivalent.
