Reciprocate は日本語で「返す」です。Present と gift は同じ意味です！この表現は直接にもらっている人にあまり言わないです。むしろ、誰かに説明の時に使われています。例えば、this is reciprocating present for the time my friend bought me a present for my wedding.
In return も「返す」という意味です。上記と同じ意味ですが、直接にもらっている人に言うのは構いません。
This is just a little something in return for the present you gave me.

そのままを表現するとこのように表現できます。
でもニュアンス的には「返礼品」みたいなかたい感じがします。
お返事をしたい人へ一言添えるような場合には以下のように伝えるとスムーズですし柔らかい感じで伝わるでしょう。
