立ち合い出産って英語でなんて言うの？

英米では、パートナーが分娩室にいるという事が当たり前に近いです。しかし、このカルチャーは1970年代から始まったそうです。その前に、男性は分娩室を避けました（笑）。

英語では「立ち合い出産」という用語がありませんが、代わりに、「attend the birth」や「be with your wife during childbirth」という言い方を使います。

「夫が立ち合い出産をする予定です」＝　My husband plans to attend the birth / My husband will be with me when I give birth / My husband wants to watch our child be born

attending the birth of one's child　がいいかと思います。

「夫が立ち合い出産をする予定です。」
My husband is going to attend the birth of our child.

自分（ミチコ先生）が出産するときには、
My husband is gonna be with me when I give birth.
と言ったのを覚えています。
