These are very polite ways to ask for directions and are often used when you know that you are very close to your destination.
There are also many wonderful synonyms one may use instead of using the word toilet which does not always sound polite. You may, therefore, refer to it has a loo, privy, restroom, and lavatory.

In the UK, a 'public convenience' is a public toilet facility. The men's toilet is called, 'the gents', and the women's toilet is known as, 'the ladies'. A generic name for toilet is 'WC'.

The word restroom means the same as toilet/bathroom,when we are speaking to someone we sometimes use the word 'restroom' instead as toilet as it sounds nicer when speaking
