  • I have heard that you have to be short to be Micky Mouse at Disney so it's mostly women who do it.

  • People say that only short people can work as Micky Mouse so it's usually women who do this job.

「ミッキーマウスになるには背が低くないといけない」は you have to be short to be Micky Mouse や Only short people can work as Micky Mouse It's mostly women that do Micky Mouse や It's usually women who dress up as Micky Mouse

  • I understand the people inside the Mickey Mouse costumes are mainly female.

  • Being Mickey Mouse is predominantly a female role, I was told.

If you wish to introduce into the conversation some facts or details, then the first example beginning, "I understand that..." may be a soft way of doing it. '"I was told..." also softens your instruction. If you just randomly introduce facts, then it may come across that you have delusions of superiority or aspirations to be a 'know-it-all -' none of which is positive. Similarly, introducing facts by starting: "Did you know that....?" or worse, 'Didn't you know that..?" may also be irritating to some people.
I was told..." "Did you know that....?" や 'Didn't you know that..?"(~知らなかったの?)

  • I was told most of the people who play Mickey are female, because of the size of the costume

First part is a statement telling you what the sentence is about. This is followed by a comma and the subordinate conjunction ‘because’ introducing the reason why.

  • Someone told me that normally women wear the Mickey Mouse costume at Disneyland because of their height.

"Someone" refers to the fact that a person has told you about this fact. "Height" is how tall you are. And "costume" is what the workers wear when they dress up as characters. I hope that this helps :)

  • I've heard that it is usually a woman that is inside the Mickey Mouse costume as they need to be short.

  • Apparently it's mainly women that work as Mickey Mouse as you need to be short.

If you are not sure if something is true or have been told something you can begin the sentence using 'I've heard' or 'Apparently' to express you are not 100% sure. These two sentences are a good way to express what you want to say: -I've heard that it is usually a woman that is inside the Mickey Mouse costume as they need to be short. -Apparently it's mainly women that work as Mickey Mouse as you need to be short.
-I've heard that it is usually a woman that is inside the Mickey Mouse costume as they need to be short. (ミッキーマウスの着ぐるみを着る人は背が低くないといけないので、これはたいてい女性がやるらしいです) -Apparently it's mainly women that work as Mickey Mouse as you need to be short.(ミッキーマウスの着ぐるみを着る人は背が低くないといけないので、これはたいてい女性がやるらしいです)

  • "I heard that it's mostly women who are inside Mickey Mouse"

  • "Due to Mickey Mouse being short, it is mainly women who are inside the Mickey Mouse costumes"

  • "Women usually have the role of Mickey Mouse at Disneyland because they're shorter than men in general"

If you heard that it is mostly women who are inside the Mickey Mouse costume at Disneyland because of height factors, you could say any of the following: "I heard that it's mostly women who are inside Mickey Mouse", "Due to Mickey Mouse being short, it is mainly women who are inside the Mickey Mouse costumes" or "Women usually have the role of Mickey Mouse at Disneyland because they're shorter than men in general".
"I heard that it's mostly women who are inside Mickey Mouse"(ミッキーマウスの着ぐるみを着ているのはたいてい女性だと聞いた) "Due to Mickey Mouse being short, it is mainly women who are inside the Mickey Mouse costumes"(ミッキーマウスは背が低いので、ミッキーマウスの着ぐるみを着るのはだいたい女性です) "Women usually have the role of Mickey Mouse at Disneyland because they're shorter than men in general".(女性は男性よりも背が低いので、ディズニーランドでミッキーマウスの着ぐるみを着るのはたいてい女性です)

When you play a character at Disneyland you have to wear a costume so if you are too tall you might not fit in it so shorter people might be better, there it might be mostly women that do this 'mostly' means most of the time not all of it
