"依代(よりしろ)"は特定の概念を直接的に表す英語が存在しない日本特有の文化的な表現で、そのまま "Yorishiro" と表記されることが多いです。依代の意味を詳しく説明すると: "A Yorishiro is an object capable of attracting spirits in Shinto, they are used to attract the spirit of a kami so that it can be worshipped. Yorishiro are typically natural objects like trees and rocks, or items like ropes and paper."
