You can ask questions to get to know more about Canada. I often am asked about Canada and my students usually just ask, "Can you tell me about Canada?" Most Canadians will be happy to share their experiences and thoughts about Canada.

I would like to know 〜 で「〜を知りたいです。」という言い方です。

習慣と文化のところを、自分の知りたいことに変えて「カナダの〇〇について知りたい」と言い換えることもできますね!

Native speakers will say like this: “I want to know what Canada is like”.
There are lots of other ways to say it, but this one is the most accurate and most commonly used.
Here is an example on how to use this in a conversation:
A: I want to know what Canada is like. Could you tell me more about it?
B: First of all - cold weather and a lot of snow.

In the second sentence you will see the term know the ins and outs. This means to know a lot about a particular topic or place. This term is appropriate for informal conversations, like talking with close friends or family.
