When I think of natto the first thing that comes to mind is the strong smell. If someone does not know what natto is it is best to describe it for them. I did not know the name natto but I knew of fermented soybeans with a strong smell that is popular in Japan and other Asian countries. Maybe saying that will let someone know what you are talking about.
Natto is fermented Soybeans.
