It's an interesting philosophical point, but the above two example sentences differ from some traditional thought about this subject. 'You ARE what you do,' is a more accepted concept, although it is a misquote of Aristotle. In fact, scientifically, the more you do a task the more cells are assigned to it in your brain - so you do become more of what you do in that sense. However, more modern thinking moves away from this idea - especially as many people are not necessarily encumbered by the need to work to survive.
「You ARE what you do」は、概念としてまだ受け入れられますが、哲学者アリストテレスの引用の間違いです。

"Your job does not define you." Define - this word carries with it the idea of marking or describing what something is. "A job is a job, not a definition of who you are." A job is where you go to make money. Some jobs are looked down on or elevated as being the job to have, but showing up on time and working hard at your job whether it is elevated or looked down on is to be commended.
「Your job does not define you.」 「A job is a job, not a definition of who you are.」
