In the UK, the majority of people work for companies, be they either large or small. The majority of people are paid salaries as opposed to wages. The other main options would be: people employed by just an individual or a partnership, or people who are self employed ie they work for themselves: for example, electricians and plumbers. So, in the UK, with just two main categories of worker, you are either 'an employee' or 'self-employed'. 'Salaryman' seems to be more of a word used to describe Japanese businessmen, though it is never heard in normal UK circles.
"I am a business person" is letting everyone know that you are a person that is involved in business. However they do not know at what level of business that you are involved in. This is a more conversational way of saying what you need to.
"I am a magnate" lets the speaker know that you are a wealthy business person. This will be for more written communication.
"I am a business person"（私はビジネスマンです）
- 自分はビジネスに携わっている人であると伝えています。しかし、どのレベルのビジネスに携わっているのかについては触れていません。これは砕けた言い方です。
"I am a magnate"（私は実業家です）
- 自分はお金持ちのビジネスマンであると伝えています。これはどちらかというと書き言葉で使われます。
"I'm just a regular worker" In this expression you are letting the person know you are just another employee in the company/office. You are not specifying what position you hold in that company.
"Im just an employee" This is just another expression with the same explanation as above, the only difference is just the way it's said.
In the U.S. when some asks you "what I do for work" you usually respond with the name of the position you work as. For example a person that works in a supermarket checking out people is called a cashier therefore if someone asks you what you do for work you would say " I'm a cashier a XYZ supermarket."

"Im just an employee"（ただの従業員です）
上と同じことを説明しています。言い方が違うだけです。
アメリカでは、"What do you do for work?"（仕事は何をしていますか）と聞かれたときは、役職で答えるのが普通です。例えば、スーパーのレジ係のことは"cashier"といいます。ですから、仕事を聞かれたら、
"I'm a cashier a XYZ supermarket."（XYZスーパーマーケットのレジで働いています）
と言えます。
If you don't want to be specific about your job you can say "I'm a businessman" , I'm an office worker", I work for a company", " I work in an office", I am staff at a company". These all work fine, but if someone asks you what is your profession, they usually would like more detail. Of course you don't have to reply in detail, just be ready for a follow up questions like, "What does your company do?""What kind of business?" "What is your roles in the company".
You can always say "I work for a sales company" this a vague, not specific. "I am an office worker for a domestic company" again, not specific, but it leave people a bit curious as to what actual job you do.
自分の仕事について具体的に言いたくない場合は、
"I'm a businessman"（ビジネスマンです）
"I'm an office worker"（サラリーマンです）
"I work for a company"（会社に勤めています）
"I work in an office"（サラリーマンです）
"I am staff at a company"（会社に勤めています）
などと言えます。
ただ、もし職業（profession）は何かと聞かれたら、相手はより詳細な答えを求めている場合が多いです。もちろん、詳しく答えなくてもいいです。ただ、
"What does your company do?"（あなたの会社は何をしていますか）
"What kind of business?"（何の仕事ですか）
"What is your roles in the company"（会社ではどんな仕事をしていますか）
などと質問される可能性もあります。
例えば、
"I work for a sales company"（販売会社に勤めています）
と言えます。これは、曖昧な答えです。
"I am an office worker for a domestic company"（国内の会社でサラリーマンをしています）
これも具体的ではありません。ただ、相手は何の仕事をしているのか気になると思います。
When you want to explain to a person that you work for a company, then you may use the following expressions: "I'm a company employee", "I work for a company" and "I'm a general worker for a company".

もちろん、和製英語なのですが、日本の会社員が自分のことを「サラリーマン」と呼ぶというこを知っている海外の人も増えてきています。
