例外って英語でなんて言うの？

例外はexceptionと言います。

例文
I’m no exception.
私も例外ではない

You are an exception.
あなたは例外です

In their case we will make an exception.
彼らの場合は例外とします

We will make an exception of his case.
彼の場合は例外とします

例外は簡単に英語でいうとExceptionになります。

「例外としてその規則を認めます」は　It is an exception to the rule　を言います。英語でもこの言い方結構使えます。規則には例外はいつでもあります。この場合は規則はruleで、exceptionというのは規則には当てはまらない例外です。

Make no exceptionsは少し違う言い方で、「例外は認めません」と似ている意味です。規則には従わなければなりませんという意味です、例外は認めないという意味の言い方です。

例えば、締め切りなどがある時に We will make no exceptions to the deadline no matter the cause　をよく聞こえます。
「締め切りまで提出しなかったらなんの理由であっても認められません」と言う意味です。

「例外」= an exception; exceptions

「例外としてその規則を認めます」= We will accept that as an exception.

「例外は認めません」= We do not accept exceptions. / There are no exceptions.

になります。

「規則の例外」= An exception to the rule.
