中央って英語でなんて言うの？

「中央」は英語では「central」や「middle」になります。

「街の中央」と言いたい場合は「city center」と言います。

ですので「街の中央にある公園に集合したい」は「I would like to gather at a park in the city center」になります。

街の中央 = the center of town
にある= at a
公園 = park
に = in
集合したい = I want to meet up
ie: Let's meet at a park in the center of town.

City centreという言葉は一般的に使いますけど、例えばわたしの故郷、アメリカのシカゴ市で必ず「downtown」と言えます。

- Let's meet around the central district.
- Let's meet near the city center.

--- some place around __ = どっか～の周りに
--- near the city center = 街の中央の近く

P.S. 「city center」は、イギリスなどの英語圏の国でちゃんと使用されている言葉なのですが、アメリカではあまり使わない言葉かもしれません。
