他の回答の通り、収集はcollectionと言いますが、しろ様の質問の例の「データ収集」ならちょっと違う単語を使った方がいいです。データやパソコンの話なら、収集は「bank」になります。collectionも使えますがbankの方がナチュラルな言い方です。
