I quit the former job because I couldn't get along with the people there.
quit/leave the former/last job
can't get along with the people(上手くやっていけない)
I quit the former job because I couldn't get along with the people there.
I quit because I didn't really get along with my coworkers.
I left that job because I didn't have the best relationships with the people there.
以前の = previous / former
職場 = workplace -> job
人間関係が合わない = to not get along with people / to have poor relationships (with people)
辞めた = quit
You quit your job? Why?
(I quit) Because I didn't get along with the people there.
When working at any company, we have our own values, a belief that working hard is the right thing to do to get what we want in life and to take care of our families. Some people do't take their work seriousy and pthers have to carry their share of the work.
"Work ethic"
My colleagues had no work ethic, that is why I quit my previous job.
"Difference of opinion"
I quit my previous job because I had a difference of opinion with my colleagues, none of them were serious about their work.
My colleagues had no work ethic, that is why I quit my previous job.
I quit my previous job because I had a difference of opinion with my colleagues, none of them were serious about their work.
I quit my job because me and my co workers didn't click
My co workers and I had a difference of opinion
"I quit my job because me and my co workers didn't click"
In order to 'Click' this is often used to describe when having a good connection with someone/people, you are able to get on and work well together.
"My co workers and I had a difference of opinion"
'A difference of opinion is used when two parties have a disagreement in something,ex. "There was a difference in opinion on the votes for the current election."
"I quit my job because me and my co workers didn't click"(同僚とそりが合わなかったので仕事を辞めました)
"My co workers and I had a difference of opinion"(同僚と意見が合いませんでした)
= 'A difference of opinion'
"There was a difference in opinion on the votes for the current election."(この選挙については意見の相違があった)
I quit my previous job as i didn't get along with my co workers
When talking about the job you had before you would call this your 'previous job' or 'former job'
To not 'get along' means to not agree or be happy or maybe to even argue with someone
to quit also means to give up or not do that anymore
'to not get along' は、意見が合わない、そりが合わない、あるいは言い争うことを表します。
'to quit' は「やめる」という意味です。
I could not get along with my co workers so I quit my job
Leaving my job was the option I had since I could not get along with my co-workers
There are a few words that we could use in place of 'quit' and that is to: leave, abandon or resign.
You could also phrase it differently and add some more opinions to the text.
For example:
I WAS VERY UNHAPPY BECAUSE I could not get along with my co workers so I quit my job.
IT SADDENED ME THAT I could not get along with my co workers so I quit my job.
Note here:
That and Because can be used interchangeably here
I WAS VERY UNHAPPY BECAUSE I could not get along with my co workers so I quit my job.
IT SADDENED ME THAT I could not get along with my co workers so I quit my job.
I left my previous job because I didn't get along with my coworkers.
I didn't see eye to eye with my coworkers, so I decided to leave my job.
"I left my previous job because I didn't get along with my coworkers." is a simple and straight forward way to say you 'quit' (a more gentle word for this is 'left') your previous (last one) job because you and the people you worked with there made it difficult or you didn't like working with them.
"I didn't see eye to eye with my coworkers, so I decided to leave my job." uses a saying that is common in native English speakers - 'see eye to eye'. To see eye to eye with someone means you agree on things, see things in the same way. So to say that you didn't see eye to eye with your coworkers is a nice way to say that you simply didn't see things in the same way and ultimately, didn't get along. This is also a great way to make the statement that is gentle, non offensive to the people you are speaking about and doesn't place blame.
"I left my previous job because I didn't get along with my coworkers."(前の仕事は、人間関係がうまくいかなかったので辞めました)
"I didn't see eye to eye with my coworkers, so I decided to leave my job."(同僚とそりが合わなかったので仕事を辞めることにしました)
'see eye to eye with someone' は「意見が合う/考え方が一致する」という意味です。
I didn't see eye to eye with my coworkers' で「職場の人と考え方が合わなかった[馬が合わなかった]」という意味になります。
I quit my last job because I didn't gel with my coworkers
I left my last job because I simply couldm't get on with my coworkers
When asked why you quit your previous job, you want to explain that you quit because you didn't get along with your coworkers. Either of the above suggestions is adequate for this situation.
