確かに「仕事」は「work」という意味もありますけど、こういう文章にはあまり使いません。この文章はこれからの話し、つまり、未来の話なので、「be動詞 + ing」の未来形を使います。
「take over」は引き継ぐという意味もありますが、この場面では積極的として使われていますので、「奪う」として使います。一つの注意は、人について話すときに使えません。
