When buying only one of a certain product and we don't know the name, we can point to it.
If we know the name of the product, we can say:
"Can I have a chocolate doughnut, please?"
"Can I have one chocolate doughnut, please?"
"May I have a banana, please?"
"May I have one banana, please?"
"I would like one of those plums, please!"
名前の分からない商品を一つだけ買いたいときには、それを指で指し示すことができます。
その商品の名前を知っているなら、次のように言えます。
"Can I have a chocolate doughnut, please?"

"I would like one of those, please." Use this expression when you are pointing to an item you would like to buy.
If you know the items name you could say, "I would like a/an/one ____________________, please."
For example,
I would like an umbrella, please.
I would like a milkshake, please.
I would like one hat, please
"I would like one of those, please."（それを一つください）

I'd like to purchase one of these. / May I have this one? - These sentences can be used to express that you would like to buy a single item. "One of these", in the first example, means "a single item in the collection". This sentence is used to inquire about singular items only.
For example, I'd like to buy "one of these shirts" for my friend. I'd like to buy "a single shirt in the collection" for my friend.
I'd like to purchase one of these.（これを一つ買いたいです）
May I have this one?（これをいただけますか）
これらの文は、何かを一つ買いたいときに使うことができます。
一つ目の例の "one of these" は "a single item in the collection"（複数ある中の一つ）という意味です。この文は一つのものについていうときに使われます。
例えば：
I'd like to buy "one of these shirts" for my friend.
（友達にこのシャツを一つ買いたいです）
You can either ask the shop assistant the question:
-May I have one of these please?
-Can I have one of those please?
Or alternatively you can also you use the expression:
-I would like one of those please.
次のように店員に質問をするか、
-May I have one of these please?（これ一ついただけますか）
-Can I have one of those please?（これ一つもらえますか）
あるいは、次の表現を使うこともできます。
-I would like one of those please.（これ一つください）
You can say :
"May I have one please?''
"Could you please give me one?"
