＊ see: 確認、知る
＊ if: もし
＊ any: どれでも、誰か
＊ neighbor: ご近所さん
＊ would: 〜〜するであろう
＊ be willing: 気が進む
＊ adopt: 保護する、養子にする
この場合に使う "see" は、「見る」ではなく「確かめる」「知る」という意味で使います。
