「単独」は英語で様々な翻訳ができます。英語で「単独」はindependentやsoleやsoloなどと言えます。singleという言葉も使えます。他の言葉で言うと、independentは「独立」で、soleは「唯一」で、soloは「ソロ」か「独演」という意味があります。

「単独」という言葉を英語で表すと、「alone」という言葉も「solo」という言葉も使っても良いと考えました。この二つの言葉は副詞です。例えば、「The band will play alone in a live concert.」と「The band will play solo in a live concert.」という文章を使っても良いです。「Band」は「バンド」という意味があって、この場合に「play」は「演奏する」という意味があります。「Play」は「遊ぶ」という意味もあります。「Live concert」は「ライブ」です。
