中国語の母語人口は英語の母語人口の2倍以上ですって英語でなんて言うの？

英語では同じ言葉を繰り返すのはかっこ悪いので（日本語も同じでしょうか）、母語人口の「native speakers」を一度しか使いませんでした。

「There are twice as many native speakers of Chinese as there are English」＝「中国語を母国語として喋る人口は、英語の２倍です」と言う意味です。

"There are more than twice as many native speakers of Chinese than there are of English."
「中国語の母語人口は英語の母語人口の2倍以上です」

＊ there is / are: ある、存在する
＊ more than: 〜〜以上の
＊ twice as many.....than: 〇〇より二倍の
＊ native speaker of: 〇〇を母国語とする人
＊ Chinese: 中国語、中国人
＊ English: 英語、イギリス人

この例文の場合、"native speaker of" は先に一度 Chinese の前に使われているので、比較対象が "native speakers of" で同じものの場合、英語の母語人口という際は "of English" だけで大丈夫です。
