1.単純に「カギを部屋の中（ドアの内側）に置いてきた」。それ以上説明しなくても
ロックアウトされて困っていることが相手に伝わればこれでよい。
left my key inside ... = 〜の中に鍵を置いてきた
inside the door = 部屋の中（ドアの内側）
２.「ロックアウトされてしまいました。カギ（ドア）を開けていただけますか？」と
具体的に何をして欲しいかまで言う時の丁寧な言い方です。
ロックアウトされたことが伝わっても「何をして欲しいか」を具体的に伝える方が
よいでしょう。英語圏では日本国内のように「言わなくてもわかってくれる」は期待
できません。

他の先生方がおっしゃる通り、
lock out
のような表現が思い出せればいいのですが、
慌ててしまい、思い出せないような場合には
片言でも伝えることが大事です。

これでバッチリ通じるでしょう。
1. I'm locked out.
2. I locked myself out.
「lock out 」は「鍵をかけて誰かを締め出す」という意味なので、
「私」を主語にした場合「1.私が締め出された」という受け身を使った表現と、「2. 私が私を締め出した」というちょっとおっちょこちょいなニュアンスが伝わる表現の二通りの言い方ができます。
私もよくやってしまうことがあるのですが（恥）、
その時は、
”It's so embarrassing but I locked myself out... Do you have a spare key?"
(すんごい恥ずかしいんですけど、部屋に鍵置いたまま出ちゃって。。。スペアキーってありますか？）
とフロントに助けを求めに行きます。

If you wish to tell the hotel reception about this, then one of the above explanations is sufficient. You may then need to ask: "Could I borrow a key for a moment please?" or, "Would you have a spare key, please?" But usually, just your explanation would be enough.

Forgetting your key in your room, means you are "locked out" of your room. You can get the hotel staff to open it for you.

It does happen quite often in instances where some doors instantly lock when you close them and you need a key to open them if this happened while you were outside. The first sentence is a way of asking for help in this situation. The second sentence is simply a way of telling someone what has happened. Use the first if you are in the hotel and would like assistance from a member of staff. Use the second if you are explaining to someone else what is happening.

Telling a receptionist at a hotel that you have forgot your key inside the room will already explain to them that you are locked out. You could then go onto asking for a spare key to get back in, or they will already realise they will need to let you in.

This sort of thing can happen to anyone. We sometimes have so many things on our mind that we forget to take our key. We are not accustomed to having this new key, especially if it is a card key.
The hotel staff is very helpful and they will never have a problem with you asking for another key and opening the door and taking out the old one.
These three different phrases can be used interchangeably to have the same meaning if we were explaining to a worker or someone that you can't get back into your room. The first two examples use the verbs, "left my key," and, "forgot my key," to have the same meaning, whereas the last example describes that you, "locked myself," or you locked the door when walking out of the room but you can't unlock it because the key is still in the room.
