"Countryside" has more positive connotations as compared with "the sticks" or "remote," which are also great options. But if you have positive feelings about the area, I could call it, "countryside." For example, "My parents have a nice little house out in the countryside where they know all their neighbors."

1. quite informal and gives an impression of wild countryside
2. is also informal with the same meaning, but maybe a difficult place to find!
3. is the usual form.

Boondocks - That place is out in the boondocks, you'll never get here by bus.
Outland - The outlying regions of a country.0
Hick - A person who lives in the country

"They live in a very rural area. It takes 3 hours to get there from the city by bus."
"I live in the countryside towards the south."
"I prefer living in the city rather than the country."
"Have you ever been to the countryside? They have beautiful mountains and lakes there."

Countryside' and 'country' mean the same thing in this instance.

'Greenbelt' means wood or parkland that is usually protected from development.

1.A remote countryside is usually many miles away from a towns or cities.

2. Behind God's back.
   This is an informal expression to mean a place that is very far away.
   Example:-
   "She is living behind God's back, it takes many hours to get to her home."

The Countryside...is the usual reference to a place that is not "Built Up" or crowded.
(Probably because residents can see and interact with the country; the land and the
local wildlife...

The countryside is the land and scenery of a rural area where usually not a lot of people live. Example - all my life I lived in the countryside. That's why I decided to move to a city

The boondocks:
"He lives in the boondocks"means that the person
lives in a very remote rural area.Remote means
that it is far away from town or from other people.
The term boondocks is not very complimentary
because it usually means that those people
living in the boondocks are unsophisticated
and backward.

The sticks:
"They live out in the sticks" means that they live in
the countryside where there are many twigs and
trees.

• The countryside refers to an area that is more land rather than city. It provides this idea that you would probably see a lot of farms and/or green fields.
  
  • A very remote location simply refers to the idea that it is a city that is very far away from the amenities or comforts that big city life might be able to provide.
  • The sticks is a unique way to express this concept of being remote and isolated but also has this idea that you would be surrounded by tree's and more located in an area in or with forests nearby.
