When writing a letter to a friend, you want to say that a lot of things happened this spring (for example one of you favorite shops closed). Well, it depends really what kind of things happened - and who or what these things affected?
The first example would be in the case of a lot of unexpected or unusual things happening. The second and third examples are neutral - however they would require more information in most cases.
So many things happened this spring that I want to tell you about.
I had an eventful spring that I must tell you about.
A lot has happened this spring.
When you want to tell someone about something that you have experienced at any time, you can use any of the sentences given.
The second sentence is just another way of expressing yourself by saying that a lot of things have happened to you and you would like to talk about it.
Your follow up to your statement would be:
*So many things happened this spring that I want to tell you about. Do you remember the shop I told you about that sells my favorite sweets?
Your discussion would carry on from the sentence example above and you will then continue to tell about your experience.
自分の経験したことについて伝えたいなら、上記の文が使えます。
二つ目の文では、「いろいろなことがあって、それについてお話したい」と伝えています。
次のように言えます。
*So many things happened this spring that I want to tell you about. Do you remember the shop I told you about that sells my favorite sweets?
(この春はいろいろなことがありました。前にお話ししたおいしいお菓子を売るお店を覚えていますか)
上記の文に後に、自分の経験したことを続けます。
