こういった、よく使うフレーズ(決まり文句)は英語で何と言うのでしょうか？
辞書では
platitude, Cliché, conventional phrases, set terms
と出てきました。
We use the word "stock" to imply that something is regularly or commonly used.
For example, if you said "stock photo" it would mean a photograph that is commonly searched for, like an image of a beach or a smiling, happy family.
The same can be said for words or phrases that are set and often used.
If you said "canned phrase," it implies that the phrase has been prepared in advance. Some companies use "canned phrases" like, "we apologize for the inconvenience" or "we would like to thank you for..." in their e-mail or phone conversations.
If something is a "common expression," that just means it is used a lot.
定期的に、一般的に使われるものを「stock」という言葉で表現します。
例えば、「stock photo」といえば、一般的に良く検索される、幸せな家族やビーチをイメージさせ写真を指します。
同じようによく使われる単語やフレーズなんかにも使うことができます。
「canned phrase」というと事前に準備されたフレーズを意味します。
会社によっては、eメールや電話で「we apologize for the inconvenience（ご迷惑をかけてすいません）」「we would like to thank you for....（感謝を伝えたいのですが...）」など「canned phrase」を準備していますよね。
「common expresssion」はよく使われることを意味します。
Something that is said a lot that has become common, it no longer really has any relevance or is even noticed in conversation.
Phrases such as “to this day” or “next thing I knew” are examples of such a cliché, and you often say these phrases without noticing you are doing so.
普通の会話でよく使われるが、関連性がなく会話で気づかない表現です。
例えば、「to this day」や「next thing I knew」など、気にせずに使っている表現です。
Both of the answers are nouns that are used to refer to a remark, opinion or statement that is overused.
This means that people use it regularly.
It shows a lack of creative thinking.
Examples of clichés and platitudes:
Time will tell
In the nick of time
Lost track of time
Fit as a fiddle
Brave as a lion
Every cloud has a silver lining
Time heals all wounds

Example
A: Susan has been working out regularly.
B: She looks like she is fit as a fiddle.
A: That is such a cliché.
いずれの表現も、名詞です。
過度に使われる発言、意見、声明等を表すときに使う言葉です。
つまり、よく使う言葉です。
ですから、創造性が欠如した人の表現とも言えるでしょう。

→そりゃ、使い古された表現だよ。
I hate is when the conversation is filed with stock phrases and cliches!
Not all idioms are bad or indeed over used...however there are no doubt some
"stock phrases" that are "completely overworked!".
"better late than never...:" ..."I never saw that coming" time will tell" etc etc
Cliches do have their place and it is not wrong to use them ...at the right time.
すべてのイディオムが使いすぎられているというわけではありませんが、
過度に使用しすぎてしまうような
“stock phrases”というものももちろんあります。
“better late than never” (遅れてもやらないよりまし)
“I never saw that coming.” (そうくるとは思わなかった)
“time will tell” (時間が解決する)
などです。
“Cliche”（決まり文句）は、使う場所があって、正しいときに使う必要があります。

Example -"that old cliché ‘a woman's place is in the home’"

Cliche - this is an overused phrase that you can even predict someone will say. In a rainy situation, someone may say: "Oh dear, it's raining cats and dogs." This is an old phrase and rarely peard these days because of overuse.
An alternative name for these type of phrases is 'hackneyed' which is quite similar to cliche. It may just be a phrase that you expect someone to say. For example, an inquisitive policeman saying:
"Hello, hello, what's going on here then?"
Cliche - これはあなたが誰かがこれから話すと予測できる決まったフレーズです。 雨のシチュエーションでは、誰かが"Oh dear, it's raining cats and dogs." 「あらまー。土砂降りの雨だ」などとと言うかもしれません。 これは古く、使われすぎて最近ではめったに見かけないフレーズです。こういったフレーズの別名は「hackneyed」であり、Clicheに非常に似ています。 誰かが言うだろうなと予測する際のフレーズです。 たとえば、詮索好きな警官は、
"Hello, hello, what's going on here then?"「ハローハロー、いったい何が起こっているんだい？」と言います。
