アメリカの東側はpop,西側はsodaと言う傾向があります。
実際、わたしがオハイオ州（東部）にいた時は、炭酸飲料のことをpopという人が多く、
シアトル（西海岸）ではsodaという人が多かった印象です。
ちなみに[ドリンクバー](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/70082/)の機械（ボタンを押すと[飲み物](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/55101/)がでてくる機械）のことを soda fountainと言います。炭酸飲料以外のレモネードやアイスティー（砂糖たっぷり！）も選べたりします。
例：
Do you have any soda?
炭酸飲料はありますか？
We don't sell soda.
炭酸飲料は売っていません。
Soda - this is the common name in the US
Soft drink - you might see this on restaurant menus
Coke - this is one brand; however, some people, especially in the South say this for all sodas; Sprite, Pepsi, etc,., all of them are Coke
Pop / Soda pop - I've never heard anyone say this, but I've heard it's a Midwestern way of saying it
Soda - アメリカでの共通の呼び名です。
Soft drink - レストランメニューで見かけます。
Coke - コークはブランドですが、 特に南部ではスプライト、ペプシなど含め全ての炭酸飲料のことをさします。
Pop / Soda pop - 実際誰かが言ってるところは聞いたことがないのですが、中西部ではこのようにいうそうです。

Gassy = resembling or full of gas.
"The beer was served too gassy and too cold."
Fizzy = having a lot of bubbles:
"The football players stopped p[laying at half time and filled themselves up with fizzy orange and mineral water. No wonder they lost the game!"
Carbonated = 炭酸飲料は、二酸化炭素の小さな泡を含む飲み物です。
例："Henry loves colas and other carbonated soft drinks."
（ヘンリーはコーラなどの炭酸飲料が大好きです）
Gassy = ガスのような、またはガスで一杯の。
例："The beer was served too gassy and too cold."
（ビールは炭酸が多過ぎ、冷た過ぎた）
Fizzy = 気泡が多い事。
例："The football players stopped playing at half time and filled themselves up with fizzy orange and mineral water. No wonder they lost the game!"

Different countries use different ways of saying 'carbonated drink' but you will not often hear people refer to it as a 'carbonated drink'. Me personally, I use the names 'soft drink' and 'fizzy drink' mostly but that may be because I come from New Zealand.
Soft drink（ソフトドリンク） = "What soft drink would you like with your combo?"
（あなたのセットメニューには何のソフトドリンクがいいですか？）
Fizzy drink（炭酸飲料） = "The kids need to stop drinking fizzy drinks."
（子供たちは炭酸飲料を飲むのをやめるべきです）
Soda（炭酸水） = "I'm heading to the store to get a soda. Do you want anything?"
（ソーダ水を買いにお店に行くけど、何かいりますか？）
様々な国には様々な 'carbonated drink（炭酸飲料）'の呼び方があります。
ですか、 'carbonated drink'と言う言い方はあまり耳にしないと思います。
私はニュージーランド出身なので、個人的には 'soft drink'と 'fizzy drink'をよく使います。
