積み減らしって英語でなんて言うの？

「積み減らし」と言う表現を直訳すると「reducing the stack」になると思います。しかし、文脈なしで伝える場合は「minimalism」か「getting rid of what is useless」の方がわかりやすいと思っています。 岡本太郎の文章を訳すと、 「Life is about reducing the stack. Most people think life is about accumulation. But I think the opposite. It's about minimalism. The more assets and knowledge one stores inside, the more a human's freedom is lost 」 「積み減らし」はとってもいい表現だと思います。しかし、英語ではその同じような表現は思い浮かびません。「simplify」と言う言葉も考えてみましたが、少し足りない部分もあると思います。
