  • I prefer being taught than teaching someone myself.

  • I prefer to be the student than the teacher.

  • I don't enjoy teaching but oh boy do I enjoy learning!

If you would rather be taught than teach it means you enjoy being a student more than you enjoy being a teacher. There can be many reasons for this, as a teacher, there is a lot of pressure to help your student understand the work or concepts discussed. A teacher has many responsibilities towards her student. A student of course also has some responsibilities as they are learning new material that they must now merge with their understanding of the world.

  • I don't want to be the teacher, l want to be the one being taught.

You can express this the following ways:- 1. I prefer to be taught rather than teaching someone. 2. I don't want to be the teacher,l want to be the one being taught. These sentences are easy to understand and self-explanatory.
1. I prefer to be taught rather than teaching someone.(教えるよりも教えられる側の方がいいです) 2. I don't want to be the teacher,I want to be the one being taught.(先生になりたいとは思いません、教えられる側の方がいいです) どちらもとても分かりやすい言い方です。

If you wanted to explain that you do not want to be a teacher because you prefer being taught to teaching someone else, you could simply state: "I don't want to be a teacher because I'd rather be the student" or "I much prefer being taught then teaching others". Both of these statement express your sentiment.
"I don't want to be a teacher because I'd rather be the student"(先生になりたいとは思わない、生徒の方がいい) "I much prefer being taught then teaching others"(教えるより教わる方がいい) どちらの文もあなたの気持ちを表しています。

Rather than teaching someone else, you like being taught. That's why you don't want to be a teacher. You would like to know how you can I explain this. Any of the above suggestions is fine for that scenario.

  • Learning holds more appeal to me than teaching.

  • I prefer learning above teaching.

1. Learning rather than teaching holds more appeal for me. If something holds more appeal then it simply means that it is more attractive to you than the other option mentioned. Example sentence: Mauritius holds more appeal to me than the island of Madagascar. 2. I prefer learning above teaching. To prefer means to like something better/more than another. I prefer seafood to red meat. I prefer dessert above savoury dishes.
1. Learning rather than teaching holds more appeal for me.(教えることより学ぶことの方が自分にとっては魅力的) "something holds more appeal" は「~より魅力的」という意味です。 Mauritius holds more appeal to me than the island of Madagascar. I prefer seafood to red meat.(赤身肉よりシーフードの方が好き) I prefer dessert above savoury dishes.(デザートより塩味の効いた料理の方が好き)

  • I would rather be a student than a teacher.

All three of these sentences have more or less the same meaning and can all be used to express this idea of not wanting to be a teacher, but rather be a student instead. Typically when we are trying to compare and/or show preference of two things or actions to each other, we would start these phrases with : - I prefer ... - I would rather ...
または "I would rather ..."

"I like being a student which is why I don't want to be a teacher." 'Which is why' expresses the reason that you don't want to be a teacher. "I like being a student rather than being a teacher." 'Rather than' shows a preference over something, ie. you prefer the first thing to the second thing. "I prefer being taught to teaching." 'Prefer' is used when talking about preferences.
"I like being a student which is why I don't want to be a teacher."(私は教えられる方が好きです、なので先生になりたいとは思いません) 'Which is why' は先生になりたくない理由を表します。 "I like being a student rather than being a teacher."(私は教えるよりも教わる方が好きです) 'Rather than' は「好み」を表します、つまり「~より・・・が好き」。 "I prefer being taught to teaching."(私は教えるよりも教わる方が好きです) 'Prefer' は「好み」を伝えるときに使われます。

Your example can be used for the described situation but I would recommend the second sentence only because it's shorter and faster to explain.

  • I don't see myself teaching, because I rather learn and be a student.

  • I rather be a student, than be a teacher.

These are different ways to say you like being taught, and not teaching. Below are more examples and ways you can inform someone that you rather be taught and not teach. Some people enjoy being taught more, just because they don't see themselves teaching, I rather teach than be taught, because I feel like I learn more and I always learn something new. I enjoy being taught, I don't see myself teaching. Being taught is better than teaching. I do not like to teach because I like to be taught. Although teaching is something that is good, I rather be taught. I enjoy learning, that's why I rather be taught than teach. I learn more by being taught than teaching, that's why I rather be taught.
I enjoy being taught, I don't see myself teaching.(私は教わる方が好きです、自分が教えている姿は想像できません) Being taught is better than teaching.(教えるよりも教わる方がいい) I do not like to teach because I like to be taught.(教えるよりも教わる方がいいです) Although teaching is something that is good, I rather be taught.(教えるのもいいですが、私は教わる方が好きです) I enjoy learning, that's why I rather be taught than teach.(私は学ぶのが好きです、だから教えるよりも教わる方がいいです) I learn more by being taught than teaching, that's why I rather be taught.(教えるより教わる方が学ぶことが多いので、私は教わる方が好きです)
