  • Does my English make sense?

  • Is my English okay?

  • Do you understand what I'm trying to say?

1) Does my English make sense? 私の英語は正しいですか?伝わっていますか? Make sense =意味をなす、合っている、正しい 要するに、正しく伝わっていますか?という風に捉えられます。 2) Is my English okay? 私の英語は大丈夫ですか? こちらは単純に大丈夫ですか?ちゃんと伝わっているか確認するためです。 3)Do you understand what I'm trying to say? 私が言おうとしていることがわかりますか? 少し違いますが、伝わっているかの確認を取るという意味では同じです。 どうぞご参考までに。

  • Do you understand what I mean?

This is an informal way to ask whomever you are with if they get what you are trying to say. This is a great way to ask because even if your grammar wasn't perfect, what matters is that they could understand what you were trying to communicate. I hope that this helps. :)

  • Do you understand what I said?

  • Do you understand what I mean?

  • Does that make sense (to you)?

All three of these sentences can be used interchangeably in order to come out and have the same meaning. As you can see within the first two sentences, we can use the same sentence structure but simply switch out the verbs, "to say," and, "to mean." Within the last sentences, we're asking if the question, "makes sense," which begs the question if the sentence can be understood by someone.

  • Am I making sense?

  • Can you understand/follow what I am saying?

  • Can you understand my English?

All of these questions show that you would like confirmation that your conversation partner understands what you saying. You could also ask: is my accent easy to understand? Is my accent difficult to understand?

  • Do you understand when I speak English?

  • Can you understand me when I speak English?

  • Does my English make sense?

Do you understand when I speak English? Can you understand me when I speak English? Does my English make sense? When you want to make sure that someone can understand you when you are speaking English, you can ask one of these three questions. Personally, I would ask the first one. I hope it helps. Have a great day. Will

  • Can you confirm you can understand what I am saying please?

  • Are you understanding my English ok?

  • Just let me know if you don't understand my English.

The first phrase is slightly formal in nature, using "confirm", but it also made friendly by the use of the word "please" at the end of the sentence. It also requests affirmation that the listener is receiving the message being conveyed. The second phrase is more conversational, and focuses more on the language in general (English), than the actual message. The third phrase lets the listener know it's fine to ask for clarification if they do nut understand something being said.

  • Do you comprehend my English?

  • Are you able to understand my English?

  • Can you make out what I am saying in English?

This is a way to ask people whether they understand what you are trying to say in English. You are not completely familiar but you are trying and are capable of speaking the language.

  • Am I making sense?

  • Can you understand me?

  • Are you following what I am saying?

-Am I making sense? This is a good way to ask the listener if they can understand the idea/thought/conclusion that you are conveying. "To make sense' means to understand -Can you understand me? This is a very direct of asking. This should be asked if it is clear that the person is confused. -Are you following what I am saying? This is a common idiom used to ask if someone understands the point/idea that you are describing. 'To follow' in this sense means to understand.

  • Do you understand my English?

  • Are you following my English OK?

  • Is my English clear for you?

When talking in English, you want to ask someone if they understand your English. In that case, a simple query - such as one of those indicated above, will be fine.

  • Do you understand what I am trying to say?

  • Does my English make sense to you?

We always encounter problems communicating in another language. Normally the other person can still understand us even if we make mistakes. There are times when the listener gets a little confused because we may confuse certain words with others. With these two sentences are great ways in any situation to ask if the other person can understand what you are trying to explain

  • Does what I am saying make sense to you?

  • Do you understand my English? Does what I am saying make sense?

If you would like to ask someone if they understand what you are saying or if you are speaking proper English, you can say something like "Does what I am saying make sense to you?" or "Do you understand my English? Does what I am saying make sense?".
