Silly' means to act foolish and do something without thinking about the consequences first, or how it may sound or look to others.
For example, sometimes children like to do foolish things that adults wouldn't do, like pulling faces or doing a funny dance; and we could say they are being or acting silly. It is not a hurtful thing to say, and it is kind to say it to a pet if they do something wrong, to tell them 'no', but in a loving way.
If your pet has done something really bad or naughty, then use those words instead.
If your dog is mischievous you can say 'naughty dog/boy". Mischievous is another word for naughty.
