「エッフェル塔は東京タワーより低い」って英語でなんて言うの？

この「低い」はlowerでいいですか？Eiffel tower is lower than Tokyo tower.と言えますか？それともshorter ですか？

high と tall、short と low、学校で使い分けを学んだかもしれませんが、そこまで気にしなくても大丈夫です。

ただ何かを比べるとき（ここでは高さを比べていますが）高い方に重点が置かれがちです。

The Eiffel Tower is not as high as the Tokyo Tower.
「エッフェル塔は東京タワーほど高くない。」
A is not as high as B.  

The Tokyo Tower is higher than the Eiffle Tower.
「東京タワーはエッフェル塔より高い。」
A is higher than B.

このように high / higher を使って表現する方が自然ですよ。

人の話をするときは\"high\"使わない。\"tall\"を使用します:
\" Tom is very tall. \"

また、高くて細い形のものを表現するために「tall」を使用します。例えば、建物、木など.
There are some tall trees by the river.
That tall, white building is where I work.
