「手持ち」は何のことを言っているかにもよりますが、on hand や in hand を使っていいます。
「手持ちのお金」の例：
money on hand
money that you have on hand
money that is available（利用可能なお金）
I don't have any money on hand that I could lend you right now.
「今貸してあげられる手持ちのお金がない。」
「手持ちのカード」の例：
cards in one's hand
cards that you hold（持っているカード）
I'm holding a really good hand.
「（カードの）手がいい。」
I have a good hand this time.
「今回の手がいい。」

手持ちのお金や手持ちの資金というときの「手持ち」であれば、
stock in hand
もしくは
holdings
もし、トランプでの「手持ちのカード」であれば
one's hand（自分の手持ちカードであればmy hand）
になります。
日本語では同じ「手持ち」でも、内容によって英語では変化します。
例）
Foreign currency holdings（手持ち外貨）
Do you have any money on hand？（今手持ちの現金はありますか？）
Three Card Poker is played as heads-up between the player's hand and the dealer's hand.（スリーカードポーカーはプレーヤーの手持ちとディーラーの手持ちカードの間で機敏にプレイされます。）
