Did you have a good day? 気にかけてる感じが読み取れます。「あなたの一日は[楽しかった？](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/50642/)」相手を先に置き質問をする事は相手を気にかけてる言い方だと取れます。もちろん会話の始まり方や声のトーンで少し意味は変わります。

However, if you wish to be just a fraction more sensitive, you may prefer to pose the question a little more indirectly? For example, it could be that your partner is regularly stressed at work and so you may anticipate that thy may have had a typically stressful day and don't want to be reminded about work in any way, shape or form! In that case you could just ask:
"What kind of mood are you in?" Their present mood will naturally be affected by the kind of day they've had at work.

hun = honey (a casual term for someone sweet to you)
darling - used as an affectionate form of address to a beloved person.
It's quite common for partners to call each other darling, honey, babe etc. so I could say; hi darling how was your day?
