〇〇生活の始まり。って英語でなんて言うの？

怪我をして暫く包帯を巻いて生活することになり、これを「包帯生活の始まりです」と言いたいです。この様なケースで「〇〇生活の始まり」や「〇〇生活を余儀なくされる」という表現はありますでしょうか。「I got a bandage-life for a while」だとどうでしょうか。

「包帯生活の始まり」は下のように言えなくもないですが、ちょっと大げさというか、例文２のほうがもっと自然な言い方になります。
１）I'll have to live with this bandage on my arm for the next while.
「これからしばらくは腕の包帯と生きていかなければいけない。」
live with で「（何か困難を）抱えて生きる・〜で明け暮れる・〜を耐え忍ぶ」という意味です。

２）I'll have to get used to having these bandages on my arm until I get better.
「（腕の怪我が）治るまで腕の包帯ぐるぐる巻きに慣れないとな。」
get used to で「〜に慣れる」
get better で「よくなる・治る・回復する」
