友人が、楽しみにしていたライブイベントがコロナのせいで中止になったと嘆いていました。

look forward to ... で「…を楽しみにして待つ」
get cancelled で「中止になる」
disappointing で「がっかりさせる」

「コロナウイルスのせいで、行く予定のイベントがキャンセルになって残念だよ。」
shame「残念なこと」
「中止になってしまった」は has been cancelled のように現在完了を使って言うこともできます。

楽しみにしていたイベントが中止になってしまった と言いたい場合は
「The event I was looking forward to got canceled 」と言います。
もしくは
「The event I was excited for got canceled 」と言います。
楽しみにしていたライブイベントがコロナのせいで中止になった と言いたい場合は
「The event I was looking forward to got canceled because of the corona virus outbreak」
