「~までの道のり」は英語で「The road to ~」という表現が良いと思います。
（「この歴史的瞬間までの道のりは平坦ではなかった。」The road to this historic moment was not smooth.）
「Direction・Way」という意味もあります。（「OOまでの道のりを教えていただけますか？」Could you tell me the way to OO?）
「ゴミ屋敷のような部屋からきれいになるまでの道のり！」
