男でも女でもない性別とは英語で "non-binary (gender)" と言います。"binary" とは二値、二元と言う意味で "non-" （「不」に合っている）を前に付けるとそうではないと表すことです。"non-binary" とは1つの同一性だけではなくて、幅広いアイデンティティを含んでいます。
