The variety of ... that are mainly sold で「広く流通している品種の…」のように言えます。
ーThe kinds of tomatoes mostly purchased by consumers in Japan are sweet.
「日本の消費者によって購入されるトマトの多くの種類は甘いです。」
the kinds of ... mostly purchased by consumers を使っても表現できるかと思います。
purchase「購入する」
consumer「消費者」
