一つの車線がもう一つの車線に入るなら、「merge」と言います。二つの車線がmergeするか、車もその一つの車線にmergeするのです。
車を動かすことはよく「pull」と言います。馬車の時代から残っている表現です。
pull over = 片側に寄せる
pull up = 止める
pull into 〜 = ～に寄る
