carelessness 気の緩み 直訳的にthe vaccine is linked to carelessnessになりますが、そう言う表現はちょっと不自然ですね。話す時に 「ワクチン接種が気の緩みにつながって感染対策がおろそかになり、結果的にコロナ感染者数は増え続けるのではないかと思う。」などを言いたい場合、I think that the vaccine could be linked to~の方が自然だと思います。 例えば、 I think that the vaccine could be linked to more carelessness(ワクチン接種が気の緩みにつながって感染対策がおろそかになり), so people will be more careless about social distancing, wearing masks etc.(感染対策がおろそかになり), and as a result（結果的に） the number of coronavirus cases might keep going up. (結果的にコロナ感染者数は増え続けるのではないかと思う） ご参考になれば幸いです。
