外国人の友達に日本のバンドを紹介したら、他にも世界にこんなバンドはたくさんいるよ、と教えてくれました。
まだまだ日本はレベル低いな、と思ったので、感謝の気持ちを伝えたいです。

日本語の「教えてくれたね」は、英語だと “You taught me” でも言えますが、友達同士で自然に感謝を言うなら、thanks for + 動名詞（〜してくれてありがとう）や I appreciate + 名詞/動名詞（〜に感謝する） がとてもよく使われます。
