現地に職員がいないので調べることができませんって英語でなんて言うの？

会社の支店の状況を調べて報告しなければならないのですが、職員が誰もいないため調べることができません。
そのような場合なんといえばいいのでしょうか？

\"inspection\" の代わりに　\"investigation\" や \"audit\" も使えますが、今回の場合では会社が自分の支店を調べるという意味があるので \"inspection\" の方が適切です。
