「it」は代名詞として、何を説明するかを指します。
例文：
It was explained in the text, but since I'm worried if it was used properly, I will explain it verbally at the next meeting.
テキストではすでに説明しているが、正しく使わっているか心配なので、次回のMTG時に口頭でも説明させていただきます。
