日本語の受身形の表現とちょっと違いますね。
また、思いやりがない、はinconsiderateという訳語もありますが、
そのニュアンスは「失礼な」、「人の気持ちを気にせずに勝手に行動する」というイメージで、
この場面でheartlessやcold-heartedの方が当てはまります。
「動物が嫌い」と聞いたら、それがinconsiderateじゃなくheartlessやcold-heartedだと思うかもしれないからですね。
