靴磨きの順番としては、
１．wipe away the dirt (by cloth)：（布で）汚れなどを拭う
２．brush（磨く）
３．polish（磨く）
この３番目のpolishが「ピカピカにする」という動詞なんです。 Polish the wine glass.というと「ワイングラスをピカピカにする」という意味になります。 もう１つのピカピカにするという動詞としては get 何 shiny です。
「靴をピカピカに磨いてから出かける」と表現したい場合だと、
Brush and polish my shoes, and get my shoes really shiny before I go out.
really shiny の所を、２番～３番に置き換えてもＯＫです。

Polishのほかに、shineつまり「光る、輝く」という単語も使われます。
High glossは「高光沢」「強いつや」という意味です。ほかに、I polished my shoes to a high shine とshineを名詞として使うこともできます。
Shoesとbootsの違いですが、bootsはよく「長靴」と訳されい、特定な靴の種類を指します。
